From
its inception yoga has been experiential; teachers transmit the
seed of knowledge, but true understanding comes through independent
practice and mindfullness of the resultant shift on all three
levels: physical, mental and spiritual.
World Conscious Yoga Family and the Akhanda Yoga approach were developed by Yogi Vishvketu and Chétana Panwar in 2001, in order to create an international community of yoga teachers trained holistically in all of the diverse aspects of this ancient consciousness-raising tradition.
Teachers and students alike are on the quest for self-realization
and together create a community that promotes and reflects this
goal.

Teacher Training courses (YTT/YTC) in Rishikesh, India, and Yoga
for Transformation retreats internationally as well as in the
foothills of the Himalayas. The Yoga Teacher Training course is
also offered in Ottawa, Canada, which is the home base of our
organization. The World Conscious Yoga Family Yoga Teacher
Training courses in India and Canda are professional certificate
courses registered by the Yoga Alliance at the 200 and
500-hour levels. We have also recently released an instructional
DVD entitled Moving into Bliss with Yoga which
presents a balanced sequence of asana and pranayama techniques
in a harmonious and meditative flow set to classical Indian music.
